Most units carry a 5-year all parts warranty as standard and the higher efficiency unit's can have a 10-year all parts warranty. SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is a cooling efficiency rating for air conditioning systems. It indicates how much energy your unit will use to cool your home. The higher the SEER rating of your air system the less energy it will use. In comparison, it is like MPG (Mile per Gallon) of your vehicle. The higher MPG vehicles will use less gasoline. In the 1990's 10.0 SEER was the minimum efficiency that could be manufactured. Effective January 26, 2006 the minimum efficiency of units manufactured will be 13.0 SEER. All of our manufacturers design equipment that is extremely energy efficient. Carrier manufactures an air condtioning unit achieving a 20.2 SEER and a heat pump achieving a 19.0 SEER. These new high efficiency systems can save you up to 60% on your energy bills.
